Awards & Recognition

During 2008 – 2011, Catholic Health Partners (CHP) received the following awards and recognition:
  • In 2011, for the third year in a row, Thomson Reuters ranked CHP among the nation’s top health systems for clinical quality and efficiency. The ranking is based on an analysis of 255 health systems and focuses on eight metrics: Mortality, medical complications, patient safety, average length of stay, adherence to clinical standards of care (evidence-based core measures published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), 30-day mortality rate, 30-day readmission rate and HCAHPS patient satisfaction.
     
  • In 2011, CHP was listed (for the fourth time) on the prestigious InformationWeek 500 -- an annual listing of the nation's 500 most innovative users of information technology. 
  • In 2009, CHP was named among the 25 Most Improved hospitals and health systems in the implementation of information technology. The American Hospital Association's journal, Hospitals & Health Networks, issued the listing, which was based on the results of the 11th Annual Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study, which measured the use of information technology at 1,314 hospitals. 
  • In a study published in the June 2008 issue of The Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety, CHP ranked 5th of 73 hospital systems for quality of care.
  • CHP's Leadership Academy received three awards in 2008 from the American Society for Training & Development at its International Conference & Exposition.
  • In 2008, CHP's home office was selected (for the third consecutive year) as one of the Best Employers in Ohio in an initiative organized by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, the Ohio Society of Human Resource Management and the Manufacturers' Education Council and sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
