Learning & Development
At Catholic Health Partners (CHP), we believe strongly in the value of education and in providing associates with the chance to learn and grow in their careers. Consequently, we offer a very extensive array of learning and development opportunities.
CHP University
The centerpiece of our learning and development program is CHP University. This virtual university is not a building or a campus but instead consists of a comprehensive selection of educational programs designed to meet the needs of diverse groups of learners.
CHP University features a wide array of online and instructor-led learning opportunities so that associates can readily acquire new skills and knowledge, build competencies, and obtain certification and continuing education credits. CHP University also offers workshops and courses that help managers and senior leaders sharpen the skills and gain the insight they need to excel in their leadership roles.
But the many offerings of CHP University don't stop there. Also included under the banner of CHP University are conferences and symposia, as well as a knowledge exchange infrastructure consisting of committees, task forces and networks whose members share ideas and best practices.
For a complete overview of CHP University, please access our CHP University brochure (PDF). We also invite you to review the highlights of some of CHP University's most notable offerings:

Tuition Assistance
In addition, because we want to assist our associates in furthering their professional goals, CHP also offers a generous tuition assistance benefit. Many associates have made the most of this opportunity to further their education and have earned associate's, bachelor's and graduate degrees from a variety of accredited colleges and universities.
Mercy College
Associates interested in earning college degrees or credits are also urged to explore the educational programs offered by Mercy College. Mercy College works closely with CHP University and is a part of CHP's Mercy - Northern Region. Located in Toledo, Ohio, Mercy College also operates a satellite campus in Youngstown, Ohio and provides online learning opportunities as well.
Degree programs available through the college include a bachelor's degree program in nursing plus two online bachelor's degree programs in healthcare administration and nursing. The college also offers associate degrees in nursing, health information technology, radiologic technology and general studies.
